Volunteering & Work Placements

The centre is built by the community it serves. We offer volunteering roles and supervised work placements so local people, students and career changers can gain real experience while helping others.

What we can help with

Typical support

  • Volunteer roles supporting drop-in sessions and reception
  • Supervised work placements for students and career changers
  • Training on confidentiality, record-keeping and safeguarding
  • Interpreting and community outreach roles
  • References and support for people moving into further study or work

How the process usually runs

  1. 01

    Register interest

Tell us about your background, languages and availability.

  2. 02

    Informal conversation

We talk through the roles available and what interests you.

  3. 03

    Induction and support

You receive training and ongoing supervision throughout your time with us.

We provide general information and practical support rather than advice on your individual circumstances. Where a matter needs regulated or specialist representation, we will tell you and help you find it.

Not sure where to start?

Tell us briefly what you are dealing with. We will explain the general position and, if you need a specialist, help you find one.
